Koh Tao offers fantastic diving, wonderful resorts, beautiful sunsets, views and variety of restaurants serving exellent cuisine. Koh Tao is the home of large sea turtles and occasional fishermen, has now developed over the past 10-15 years as one of Thailand's premier tourist destinations.
Koh Tao is to the northeast of Surat Thani, about 38 kilometers from Koh Phangan, and about 64 kilometers away from Chumphon.
Since 2005 it is now really easy to get to Koh Tao. You can drive with one of the high speed catamaran boats. You can also arrive from one of the neighboring islands (Koh Phangan or Koh Samui).
